There will be a memorial service for Karen Harrell (Lucretia Harrell's mom) on Saturday, August 29th at the Church of God Campground Chapel. It will start at 10:30 and is estmated to last about an hour. Everyone is invited to attend and share with the family. Please forward to anyone wishing to attend.
Dear Belles and BBPC,
Well..........all the hard work for the summer has paid off and we are now ready to get back to school and start performing!! Here are some details you may want to know:
1) 1st day of School: All Belles meet at WHS at 8:15 for class. Please dress up for 1st day of school to make a great impression. Freshmen Belles will be bussed to NGC at 9:00.
2) Sunrise Ceremony: Tuesday, August 25th at 7 AM. Please deliver food between 6 and 6:30. Belles will enter at 7 AM. Ceremony will be concluded by 8:30 AM. Parents welcome to attend, watch, and take pictures.
3) Community pep rally: Tuesday evening, August 25th. NO AFTER SCHOOL PRACTICE TODAY! Please pick Belles up from school, feed them dinner, and be back by to WHS by 6:15 PM. Pep rally starts at 7 PM in the WHS MAIN GYM. Should be over by 8 PM (ish).
4) School Day practices and Info: 7 AM practice starts on August 25th and will continue all year. Please make sure your Belle gets here by 7 each morning. If there is an issue, please call or email and let us know the circumstances and when to expect the Belle to be at school. **Dr appts should be scheduled at alternate times and absences should be minimal from practices to be ready to perform each week! Thanks!
After School practices start on Thursday, August 27th from 4:30-6 (every Tuesday and Thursday from this date until further notice). Freshmen will be bussed from NGC to WHS on those days. PLease pick up at WHS.
5) Kangaroo Football and Bus Trips: 1st football game is Friday, August 28th. ALL Belles must ride the bus to the away games! If a parent wants to bring a Belle home AFTER the game is over, the PARENT must check the Belle out with the directors IN PERSON> This is for your child's safety -- THANKS>

The WHS Blue Belles were honored with a $2000 donation from the Weatherford Noon Lion's Club for their summer service project. Every year, the Belles volunteer to sell drinks and concessions in the stands at the annual Sherriff's Posse Rodeo for the Lion's Club to raise money to help local people with their dental, visual, and medical needs. Presenting the check at the weekly luncheon is Lion-- Phillip Lapp with Freshmen Belle Natalie Hinrichs, Jr. Lieutenant Rylee Durant, Lapp, Sophomore Maegan Davis, Jr. Lieutenant Shelby Carter and Director Nika Orm Carter. The money raised will be used to pay for expenses for the Belles to be "float walkers" and parade participants in the 2009 Capital One, Neiman Marcus Adolphus Christmas Parade on Dec. 5th.
The Weatherford Blue Belles worked hard over the summer preparing for the upcoming year by completing service projects for Noon Lion's Club, Chamber of Commerce Peach Festival, hosting the 21st Annual Blue Belle Memorial Golf Tournament and attending 2 dance and leadership camps--HTE Dance and Social Officer Camp and EXTREME DANCE Line Camp.
The dance camps consisted of leadership workshops, goal setting opportunities, and team unity projects as well as over 30 amazing dances that the audience will get to see throughout the upcoming football season. In addition, the Belles competed for awards and won the following distinctions for their outstanding performances and efforts:
